Station 3, Jesus Stumbles

I was asked to contribute a work for an Easter exhibition at Holy Trinity Tauranga on the stations of the cross. I selected station 3, "Jesus falls for the first time". I was attempting a view from the ground, Jesus looking up from the rocky path to the hill that awaits him. The underpainted cruciform structure is a Celtic cross.
